Help? Can the HW261N-CIS Headset be used directly with a Cisco IP 7912?

Q: May I use a Plantronics HW261N-CIS headset directly with a Cisco IP 7912 series phone or do I need an amplifier?

A: According to our compatibility guide and research, the Cisco 7912 does not have  a dedicated headset port on the phone, so it does not support a direct-connect headest like the HW261N-CIS, which comes with the connecting cable. It will require an Audio processor (amplifier) like the M22 or AP15. You can use the HW261N (same as the CIS model but without the connecting cable) with either of the two audio processors.
